Description
Jacaranda mimosifolia is the tree that turns entire cities lilac-blue. Clouds of trumpet flowers open on bare branches in late spring, carpeting the ground beneath in blue, before soft fern-like foliage unfurls for the summer. In cooler climates it makes an elegant potted specimen or a superb bonsai subject.
