Description
Caesalpinia pulcherrima – Pride of Barbados, Peacock Flower or Buttercup Flower – carries flaming orange-and-yellow blooms with long scarlet stamens above delicate fern-like foliage. In warm climates it forms a 2-3 m flowering shrub; elsewhere it makes a dramatic patio container plant or a rewarding subject for tropical bonsai.
