Description
Kudzu is one of the fastest-covering vines in cultivation, capable of growing up to 30 cm (1 ft) a day under ideal conditions. Historically planted for rapid erosion control on bare slopes, it forms a dense green blanket in a single season.

Kudzu is classified as an invasive species and its sale, planting or transport is banned or restricted in many US states and countries. It spreads aggressively, smothers trees and native vegetation, and is extremely difficult to eradicate once established. Check your state and local regulations before purchasing – do not plant where prohibited. Seeds Grow In recommends this only for growers in regions where kudzu is legal and for controlled, contained erosion-control use, never near woodland, fence lines shared with neighbours, or waterways.
